In terms of whisky, there are basically four regions in Scotland: the Lowlands, the Highlands, Campbeltown and Islay. The largest region are the Highlands, which contain Speyside and the Islands (except Islay).

Almost everywhere you will find distilleries, from the Orkneys in the north to the borders in the south, and from the eastcoast to Skye.
